When Julia inherits a hotel from her great-aunt, she doesn't yet know that it's a completely dilapidated building, where only an old bear as a doorman and a ring-tailed lemur as a receptionist still work.

Hotel Flamingo was once the sunniest hotel on Animal Boulevard. But then Marcus Malefactor built his Hotel The Glitz and stole all the customers and staff from Hotel Flamingo.

Julia doesn't give up. She knows that Hotel Flamingo can once again be as vibrant as it used to be. And what's more, all animals are welcome in her hotel – even cockroaches and warthogs. So she immediately hires staff to help Theodore Bear and Lucky: Petra the repair giraffe fixes everything, Hillary Hippo has such a sensitive nose that she can track down even the smallest speck of dust, and Madame Le Cochon, like a true Gordon Ramsay, terrorizes the kitchen.
